I had picked up a spear, stuck with a spear, and pretty much built around having a spear. They had sick fuckin armor bro but I had a really good idea of where my spears hitbox ended and how to poke and roll.

Guys what is going to help me win more in PvP on my hex build with resonant weapon, Dark Estoc +10 or Dark Ice Rapier +5? Estoc has the shield break attack but the rapier has more damage and the counter damage. I'm pretty new to ds2 pvp

Man when you know they're going for for the backstab just punish them with your own. It's really simple in DaS1. When you see them initiate their clever plan where they circle around behind you, you simply circle around outside their arc and stab them in the ass. In DS1 you use the kidmask and stamina regen items and you have infinite stamina basically.
In DS2 the only real way to counter turtles is the "I'm going to break your guard now, please don't slowly walk away from me in the next thirty minutes or it will miss" attack.

Yeah, ROB/Flynn gives you about the same bonus as 30-40 points of dex would if not more.
Infusion sucks now because they nerfed buffs for infused weapons. The flume sword actually does MORE damage if you don't infuse it and use dark resin than it does with dark infusion + dark/resonant weapon (resonant weapon was also nerfed a while go, don't use it if you use buffs at all).

Don't listen to that fag. Scaling works fine up to around 40 points. Of course, you should always have Flynns Ring and Ring of Blades on if you plant to do any PvP, but in total depending on your weapon you'll be getting 110 damage from rings but 200 damage from your stats.
It depends on what weapon you're using, though. Some weapons obviously you should not bother going past base stats, some you should level up STR/DEX. It all depends on the weapon.

Eh, there's a semi-cap at 20. Going past that is pretty much worthless, you get 1 point of damage per stat, with 2 points every other level or two. It's not worth the points that could go into agility or vitality.

I never took off the Imported Set on my rogue ever and I did just fine. Only armor I ever swapped out was the legs, for the cat legs that Shalquoir sold
