Transistor

Crypt of the Necrodance was lots of fun
>>
they're all good but overpriced

i do not believe you will get $15-$20 out of any of them, wait for sales
>>
HLD is not worth 20 bucks
>>
HLD is incomplete in vague ways, EtG is slow and not very engaging, Necrodancer is a genuinely original and fun idea realised in a decent enough manner.
>>

necro

It's one of the hardest games i've ever played
>>

rabi rabi or enter the gungeon

you'll find out how good they are when ps plus gives them to you in a year for "free"

Bisnaps on Gungeon so far. Seems pretty fun.
>>
>>333536379
HLD > Rabi-Ribi > Momodora > CotN > Transistor

Haven't played the 6th one.
>>
>>333537725

Faggot like you give /v/ a bad name.

>>333537332
You're not really helping much either, show some imagination.

Apparently Hyper Light Drifter is complete shit since it doesn't run at 60 FPS and gives people migraines and is causing cancer. Back in my fucking day we played on CRTVs and everything was locked at 30. Half the time the newer N64 games would drop frames in big areas like fucking Goemon and we still played the shit out of it since it was amazing game. These new kinds of gamers fucking sicken me more than dropped frames in 2D fighters.

Honestly though you'd probably get the most fun out of CotN, Transistor or Gungeon depending on your personal tastes.
>>
>>333538108
>playing video games we haven't already played gives /v/ a bad name
seems logical
>>
>>333536379
haha all this indie trash where are your games PC?
>>
>>333536923
ill take your word for it
"buying" now
>>
>>333538384
Yeah, I really fucking cherished playing games over Coaxial and desperately trying to get a decent image quality, it's so horrible having everything smooth, clear and distinct these days.
>>
>>333538384
>Back in my fucking day we played on CRTVs and everything was locked at 30

what are you, 16?
>>
>>333538868
Sorry I meant to say we used to chisel games out frame by frame on rocks and play them by pushing them around.
>>
>>333539145
well if you were a little older you'd remember playing games at 60fps on your crt but since your first console was 64 bit i guess you don't know.

Momodora or Transistor

Everyone already know it's a shithole of a board that trap you forever and suck the life and the joy out of you.

It's like the second shittiest board with /b/, it's not like we had a reputation to preserve.
>>
transistor is like 5 hours long and it gets boring after 2

go with necro
>>
>>333540065
can confirm transistor is overrated but okay. never played necro
>>
>>333539902
>/v/ isn't very good, so I don't even try

You're still using punctuation aren't you nigger? Why not use txt speek since /v/ is so bad, it's not like there's any standards to maintain, right?
>>
>>333536379
You can torrent these, anon. Just get all of them.
>>
>>333536379
*most fun

jesus christ, anon, did you even go to school?
>>
>>333536379
>funnest
Depends on your taste. All of them are great, though.
>>
>>333536379
Buy them on GoG, stop giving valve money
>>
>>333540065
necrodancer is total shit

rhythm game with the exact same beat forever, every mechanic tied to this beat. terrible idea
>>
I've only played Transistor and Hyper Light Drifter out of those and between the two, I like Hyper Light Drifter. Fast paced action combat with pretty visuals with a lot of emphasis on dodging. Also no dialogue, which is kind of neat.
>>333538108
>>333537332
Please go and stay go
>>
>>333540390
sounds like you just don't like rhythm games anon, that's ok
>>
>>333536379
None of those are worth more than 5 bucks.

You're not supposed to die on the first level Anon.

i like rhythm games when they are actually good

i mean that it's a constant beat, hit something for every crotchet. rhythm heaven had more depth than this piece of shit

I'm a big fan of Transistor. Gameplay is surprisingly deep and the soundtrack is God-tier.
>>
I always thought I had no rhythm and then I played Crypt of the necrodancer and that idea was absolutely confirmed.

>I want to be able to attack more than once per turn in a turn based game

Am I wrong, or are you suggesting something actually interesting?

Necrodancer and Transistor are fantastic
HLD is broken
>>
>>333538384
>Back in my day
No one should say this about anything that is less than 50+ years old. And if they are talking about something 50+ years old they still shouldnt say it.

>Back in my day all we had was goldeneye Haha youngsters dont realize blah blah
>Oh yea well back in my day all we had was Mario on the nintendo haha!
>I'm going to go fuck myself after I mention all we had was Pong ho ho ho
Shut the fuck up.
>>
>>333540923
i think that there are some pink boots that let you move twice for each beat but i don't think i've ever actually seen them outside of the level editor
>>
>>333537332
you know what my man you can go fuck yourself my guy
>>
>>333539681
There are NES games that don't run at a consistent 60fps anon. Ever play Mega Man?
>>
>>333536379
Having played HLD, Transistor and CotN, I'd say that CotN y the funniest, then HLD, then Transistor.
>>
Rabi Ribi is pretty amazing. It's pretty unfortunate that it got nowhere near as much attention as it deserves. The level design, the soundtrack, the bosses, the sequence breaking, the cute girls, it's all just so good. Story is really weak though but it doesn't matter much. Also it looks like they're still updating it with content, which is pretty cool.

Transistor is great but I'd personally not categorize it as "fun". It's worth playing though.

Those are the only two I've played.
>>
>>333540470
I don't mind the heavy focus on dodging, but the dash controls are shit.
>>
>>333542159
>Transistor is great but I'd personally not categorize it as "fun". It's worth playing though.

I agree with this, lots of potential but in the end the gameplay felt lacking. Soundtrack and art direction, as well as the interaction between characters was pretty great though. Get it on sale.

Transistor and Crypt of the Necrodancer are the only ones that are worth buying
