>He hasn't beaten a single Doom game on Ultra-Violence
What's your fucking excuse?
I did it on nightmare
>>333529776
Tryhard.
>>333529825
I played it on a printer
https://youtu.be/g2oyweqZ7WM
Seems pretty hard. I like DOOM, just not enough to try to beat it on those crazy difficulties
>>333530062
But Ultra-Violence is basically normal difficulty.
>tfw doom comes default in the 3ds homebrewed starter kit
It was such a pleasant surprise. I just dropped everything else I was doing and sat there and played the entire game through.
FPS games are boring as shit.
>>333530062
UV is kind of the way Doom is meant to be played, like how Halo is meant to be played on Heroic. Nightmare is a meme difficulty though, and exists purely for "that kid" bragging or for the skilled players that want an extra challenge. You should only really play Nightmare if you've beaten all the games on UV or if you want to get hammered with friends and play together.
>>333530062
Is the best way to play because you actually need the secret areas to find ammunition for the next level.
Post top tier Doom maps.
>Pic related, also e3m3 and e4m2
I've only played Doom 1 to completion, though.
I don't know why people think Ultra-Violence is a hard difficulty, it just puts more enemies in the levels and actually makes it a lot less boring because you're almost constantly blowing things to bits.
>bawww you didn't beat my old and busted shitty FPS game on the hardest setting
anyway, what are some good wads?
>>333531132
>hardest setting
>>333531132
>old and busted shitty FPS
only the first and last things in that statement are true about DOOM
>>333530301
would you play it like KI:U? or was it old school in it's aiming?
Is HDoom worth trying? I want to have fun. I also want to ejaculate. Seems like a good fit.
New doom looks good tbqh.
>>333529196
But I have anon.
Well, Doom 1 at least, Doom 2 really tests my patience at times.
I should go back and try Doom 64 on the highest difficulty since it was pretty easy on normal, moreso than Doom 1
>>333530301
>tfw couldn't get it working
>>333531596
(sort of) bindable keys, I had d-pad for movement/strafe, a to jump, b to shoot, and l/r for turning. The biggest issue was only one button to switch weapons, but I managed.
Can't beat episode 3.
How do I get good?
>He hasn't beaten DOOM on Ultraviolence with keyboard
What's your excuse
>>333534028
Romero used a mouse, why shouldn't I?
>>333531132
Doom holds up pretty well. Did you even play the game ?
>>333530458
Isn't Nightmare just Hurt me plenty with respawning monsters?
I remember them doing more damage on UV.
Never played DOOM in my life.
Brutal Doom.
>>333537578
Fun, but overrated. With 4 as it is now, we've gone full circle.
Id id both Dooms on UV with only a keyboard. I knew there is a mouse support but didn't try it.
However I save scummed all the first time, and now I don't want to do it again.
What is there to gain?
