We haven't gotten a date on the console release yet, but the arcade edition is entirely finished. Act 3 was recently released so it's only a matter of time now, expecting it to be in autumn or something as to not clash with the release of Revelator.

Kokonoe literally just fucked you over with an infinite and was the only way to play competitively.
Carl on the other had only has one player in the top 20 at the japanese arcades who plays him, because while he is the best character in the game, he's also far more difficult to play than anyone else. He's not broken enough to be the only option in the game, and there are other strong characters like Rachel, Arakune, and Jin who can compete.

Carl has inescapable command throw setups in CF. He's actually nearly as retarded as BBCP 1.0 Kokonoe. He's significantly harder to play, that's a fact, but he's dumb as shit in CF. The other top tier character's setplay are quite strong, like Izanami's. He doesn't really have anything against projectile oki so you can setplay him to death if you have it. The mid tier though? Good fucking luck. I don't get why they refuse to even try and balance BB.

The top players have a lot of overlap now but you can see a lot of the old GG heads either don't play BB or don't do that well at it.. But when xrd dropped a lot of the top BB players made the transition no problem. Hell some of them are even better at GG then they were at BB.

Yeah I'm glad they did that. It was jarring to have these fantastic player lobbies, easily the best lobbies in a fighting game at the moment. Only to have that online lobby rooms that surround them be so underwhelming and pretty shit honestly. Glad they copied BB cause BB did have a good online lobby rooms, so online from a purely interactive standpoint I guess you would say outside of the gameplay itself is perfect through and through. Hope Capcom takes a few notes down the line with SFV, because there is a lot they can learn from ASW. However I have a funny feeling a lot of the problems or possible improvements won't get fixed in the long run cause Capcom is pretty incompetent.
