Bloodborne noob here. I've only been playing for about a day and I'm stuck on Rom the vacuous spider.
Anyone got any tips on how to beat him cause I'm really at the end of my rope here.

Kill the two waves of spiders then it's over for them. Rom is a cunt due to her army of garden spiders. Always keep an eye on her though because depending on how she flails about is what attack she is going to use.
Kite the spiders away, take them down one by on. Aim for te bodies because their heads are armored. Stock up on bolt paper, you can buy them if you beat Paarl. If it lifts its head, it does the meteor shower. Just continously dash in on direction. If it flips over, its an underground shot. Just stay away from the markings. If it lifts it head and tail then starts glowing, back the fuck off because its the aoe. You can summon 3 npcs for the fight, madara, henrick, and some student with a shield. The shield uy is best, henrick can tank more hits, mandara can get stuck in a doorway. Oh and_____________Get__Gud__________________. Follow that and you'll do fine

I beat Rom without killing any spiders, I ran in a clockwise spiral around her, and when I saw a break in the spiders I'd run through and get a few hits in before she could react.
Study how she flails about, that telegraphs what spell she is about to use. After she teleports only attack her a 2-3 times before getting out, as she does a nasty aoe.
you can summon the NPC if you want but I found he was not very useful.
