I actually like the minigames in guitarcade. Well, I like some of them. I think the one that plays like tapper is pretty cute. Too bad it's one of the most basic games.
As someone who is musically retarded, I find that learning certain songs in rocksmith easier than just reading tabs or using guitar pro. There are some thing that are just easier to learn by reading tabs though.
Also session mode is fucking awesome and is a great tool to learn scales.

I'm sayin'. Even if that's actually what it would cost to develop, that's shooting too high for a port job of an old game. The 800k they got is nothing to sneeze at, but if they had lowered their goal to say a million I could easily see the hype of it being almost funded being enough to bring in new donators who see that it's almost achieved it's goal to push it over the edge.
