>MC gets knocked out by bad dude
>wakes up tied up when they could've just killed him while he was out
>MC's buddies have plenty of time to rescue him
Makes sense in Far Cry 4. Bad guy wants him alivebecause he was a cuckand at that point, you're pretty much leading the war effort so your team can't afford to let you go missing.

I read it as
>MC gets knocked up by bad dude
>blue arms
>>333498131
>get thrown in prison when captured by weaker, non-boss enemy
>have all your weapons and equipment still on
or even better
>someone capable of breaking out of prison has been in the prison a long while before you showed up
>only decides to break out once you meet them
>>333498561
DON'T
>>333498428
this
Worse
>MC gets defeated in a battle by big bad
>Instead of killing them right there, the villian goes on a monologue and then leaves the MC without doing anything to them
>>333498428
>>333501253
Haunting Ground.

It still amazes me how something a simple as blue arms set him off the way it did.
>guy gets knocked out
>wakes up hours later
>doesn't suffer severe brain damage
>MC friend gets killed
>The replacement character is an obnoxious nigger
>>333498428
What's the difference?
>>333498131
>MC is shot in the face/executed by some other means
>either miraculously survives or is resurrected to enact revenge on the dude/party that wronged them
