What is /v/'s opinion of SUPERHOT? I got it last weekend and I'm really enjoying it.

Having the guy say superhot over and over and over again during the replay sequence kinda ruined the entire game for me. Made it less satisfying to actually finish a sequence.

Is literally just a gimmick that was done before in Braid. Devs probably though it was already forgotten enough and shat out a real quick game with not a lot of effort to cash in on let's players and whatnot.

My problem with this game was it forced you into an experience with 'obey' bs and then pretends like you actually did it.

Gameplay was gud, thank god for endless mode.
Very wasted potential. Like the game setpieces are already random with almost connection between the missions, but the dev still make it short. This is the case where quantity is over quality.
What the fuck did they do for 2 years. It's not like the level designs are great.

So I never played it again after the game went trough so much trouble to make my character promise to not play it.
Played for 17 hours. 2-3 on story mode, probably like 8-11 completing all challenges, and the rest unlocking everything in endless mode.
Paid about 18 bux for it on GMG, totally worth it. The gameplay itself is really fun in a Hotline Miami sense of semi-improvised, reflex-based slaughter with a higher than expected skill ceiling that the challenges force you to reach by the end.
Having no custom levels, leaderboards, or a random level generator for endless mode is an extreme bummer and having any of those could have been what would put it over the top. As it stands, I thought it was great, but I don't think I'll play it very much anymore until there's new content.
If you're not the kind of person who likes completing short games over and over again with different objectives to get better at it or the kind of person who likes high score chasing, I don't think the current price is worth it.

Got a good 12 hours out of it with the endless and challenge modes. The core gameplay is really fun, but the price-point is a bit high for most. I'd say $15 and a map editor would make it better.

I think it was pretty good, but I really wanted more story content than it provides. I'm not the type to really go for just endless challenges modes or timetrials. I want more structure and direct goals. 5-8h storymode with longer levels would have been what I want.
