The handling is so simple, taking turns is a matter of drifting which takes so little skill to do even compared to kart racers. The constant cutscenes in race intros, whenever you crash and take someone out. The whole game being designed around maximizing drifting and driving in the oncoming lane to fill up nitrous. Track designs having too many wide and long stretches of road that may be realistic, but not challenging or entertaining to race on. Weapons. Short and easy single player mode.
It's a very pretty game, I'll give it that. Still, HP2 has better environment variety because it's not a slave to open world bullshit.

I liked Need for Speed (2010).
Finished it but never got level 20 because never grinded or did multiplayer. Pretty much got gold on every stage as well so it's definitely a grind. Fun as fuck though, especially the drifting.

the main differences I can think off the top of my head:
you can use boost whenever you have it in burnout 3 as opposed to only being able to use it when it's full like in burnout 1
burnout 3 focuses more on making your opponents crash by slamming into them than simply driving well
burnout 3 feels faster in general

Not sure how many people here have actually played it given we're now SonyGaf 2.0, but this is an absolute dick load of fun. Drifting round the French countryside listening to Eurobeat in your 350z with custom animu paint job doesn't get much better than this.
