I did, though it's only a mistake because it turns out I'm not a fan of the genres PC normally gets exclusives in. I never had a gaming PC before so I had no idea whether I would like stuff like MOBAs, RTS games, and MMOs. I can definitely see the merit in them but they just aren't for me. Most of the other stuff I already played on consoles, and while multiplats run and look better on PC the differences aren't enough to justify the price of the PC. I don't really care to mod my games, either.
Now, that doesn't mean a PC isn't worth buying for some (if not most) people. If you don't already have a modern console, are a fan of the genres PC excels at, or don't care for the Japanese games not getting PC releases then it's definitely the platform to get. But in my specific situation it was a mistake.

Emulators give you the option to play games you've never had the chance to experience before, and if you're into card games, there's YGOpro and I'm pretty sure MTG does online, too, and even Pokémon, if you roll that way. Then there's all the free shit that's available, as well as piracy. Not to mention ROM hacks like Hyper Metroid and randomized Pokémon all the way up to Gen V. Add all this up, which I've barely even scraped the surface with, and there's tons of shit for you to do.
PS4 has 3 exclusives worth getting afaik:
Kingdom hearts 3, FF15 and Ace Combat.
PC plays multiplats 100x better.
Xbone has Halo.
That's pretty much how things are looking for me and the majority right now.

I sold it after using it basically solely as a Netflix-box for a couple months and used that money for a beast videocard upgrade. Absolutely no regrets.
The big multi-plat games are on PC anyways, and they look and run 10x better than on a console. Plus PC owns racing games, other than forza there isn't a console game that even nearly competes.
