Just marathoned this game for 45 minutes.

How were you supposed to know to jump onto the web?

By not being retarded.

By cutting it with your needledick

Jumping from the highest point you shitty fucking cuck

I just marathoned that game too for like an hour. Was it any good?

the game points the camera down when you're on the catwalks

it's one step short of having a sign that says "jump dipshit"

IT'S IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FUCKING ROOM

YOU WALKED OVER IT BECAUSE: YOU'RE CURIOUS ABOUT SPIDER WEB

AND THERE'S SHIT BELOW IT MAKING NOISE AND MAKING LIGHT

HOLY FUCKING SHIT

IT FUCKING RECOILS WHEN I WALK ON IT
WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF I INCREASED MY DOWNWARD VELOCITY TOWARDS THE WEAK WEB TO GET TO THE PRIZES
BELOW

fucking stop being retarded

its not that hard to figure out, doesn't navi even comment about it? LISTEN!

Because the entire point of the first part of the dungeon is to climb to the top, and when you get there you find a diving platform? And if you leaped off early and landed on the web it would stretch but not break? And that not only could you see more dungeon below it, but the map would show that you had to go through the hole as well?

I mean shit nigger, it was the most obvious thing in the world.

Given that most of us were able to figure it out easily at age 12, I'd say it's:

a) straightforward as hell
b) challenging only for stupid people
c) both of the above

Go be awful elsewhere, OP.
>>
>>333468868
You don't even need to jump on it. You can just burn it with a lit deku stick, and by the time you need to head down there you should already know you can burn the webs.

I'm almost certain it tells you, in the manual or somewhere in the game?

Wait, why would this even work? The force of gravity acting on Link would be the same whether you jump from the highest point, or just stand on the spider web.

Someone explain this to me
>>
>>333473536
>gravity is a constant, 9.8m/s^2
>jump off a curb
>unharmed
>jump off a building
>die
>the force of gravity is an acceleration, whereas how much you're hurt is based on your speed. Your speed is based on that acceleration force, multiplied against the amount of time you spend falling.

Because this is supposed to be an actual environmental puzzle (as opposed to the block pushing 'puzzles' everyone keeps claiming the game consists of) that relies on the willingness of the player to experiment. The whole game encourages a mindset of "wait, what would happen if I did THIS" and this is a deliberate catalyst for that.
>>
Because of the protruding platforms at the top that all stop extending in front of the perimeter of that web that basically beg you to just jump down and see what happens.
>>
>>333473879
>Rolling with a burning stick

>>333473536
Because you get weight plus acceleration. Here. try this.

Pick up something on your desk. Note how heavy it is. Now throw it against yourself as hard as you can. The impact feels way stronger than just the weight should allow right?

Acceleration.

But Link's acceleration is always 9.8m/s^2 downward due to gravity. So the force on the spider web is the same no matter where he comes from. Sorry I just don't get this

Did anyone else not hate her? I swear people only started hating Navi because it became a meme to do so. I never thought she was annoying. Navi made the game comfy tier and is the perfect example of a fun, and innovative objective marking system. Her hints were just cryptic enough that they themselves functioned as miniature puzzles, and her enemy explanations made it seem as though you were never alone, even in the darkest depths of a dungeon.
>>
>>333474158
>jump off catwalk

>>

>>
>>333474483
>after you drop from the web
You get the compass before dropping, and it requires you to light up torches with a stick.
>>
>>333474083
> So the force on the spider web is the same no matter where he comes from. Sorry I just don't get this

If your serious, the force that breaks the web is caused by the tension which is increased when it applies deceleration to Link to counter his velocity. The further Link presses into the web, the most it stretches. The higher Links initial velocity, the more inertia he has, which will take longer to decelerate. Eventually the web will stretch so much it breaks. Ask some engineering faggot here how you'd actually calculate the forces on a structure like that if you want.
>>
>>333474752
She started getting annoying for me once she started telling me to go talk to Saria like every 30 seconds. I didn't have any problems with her before that.
>>
>>333474752
she was fine until I was adult link and she was telling me to clear dungeons I'd already beaten
