Yeah, I was the dude bitching about Yen up there a bit and I would absolutely agree she's a well written character. I can't really think of any characters in Witcher 3 that stick out. I might even go so far as to say Witcher 3 has some of my favorite writing in videogames period. The story isn't anything special, but the characters and their motivations are all nailed better than anything else I can think of.
Sorta opposite of that, Age of Decadence. None of the characters are written poorly, but none of them are very noteworthy either. The story there I absolutely loved though, especially how you see different facets of it from different paths/playthroughs.
