Not that Yoshi bro here, but It does the same amount of damage to your opponent as it does to yourself if you manage to land it, so it's a good finisher if you can pull it off.

Yes, but it's very situational and I use it kind of as a psyche out tactic against my opponent. I use it sometimes right after the first few combos in a round, if it lands it can fuck up your opponents momentum big time. People get really defensive after it.
Also, If I only have a hit or 2 left I'll do the suicide charge attack in an attempt to get a draw on a round that I probably would have lost.
And lastly, I use it after I beat some opponents as a sign of respect if the match was really close or I won by accidental ring out or something.
The thing I love most about Yoshi is just the sheer variety of moves he has. I've gotten pretty good at fucking with peoples heads with him.

There is a sitting suicide that can make you do flips. Incredibly risky, I only use it in casual matches with my friends.
You can do a suicide from the air too, and you can do a suicide spin if you're facing the opponent, but I havent really incorporated them into my fighting style. The one I mainly use is the charge and turn suicide cause it catches people off guard and throws them off normally for the rest of that round.
