It was a basically a 3D rendition of Zelda 1 with diagonal movement and shorts cutscenes when you'd get an item that was would zoom in like a console Zelda.
However, after the first grid, the game opened up and didn't go grid-by-grid anymore like Zelda 1. It was just a big empty space loosely trying to recreate Zelda 1.
Apparently the game was only complete through the first dungeon of the game, and the Boomerang didn't even work yet.
In short, you missed nothing. But at least the novelty was kind of cool, even though it only made me want to play the regular game because it was so wonky.

nintendo has the right to protect their product. If you created a song, and you didn't like someone doing something with it, you have the right to prevent them from doing so because its your creation.
If classic zelda was shit compared to current zelda. no one would give two fucks about nintendo sueing Zelda30Tribute because they would just say, "lol zelda was gay as shit."
