I can understand getting to a point where you don't want to put up with the problems, but that doesn't negate the enjoyment from before, at least to me.
I gave up with Xeno X when I got to the post game and everything proceeded to one shot my Skell and the only thing I could do was grind my ass off for the supa-OP shit.
I found those things frustrating as fuck when you get a boss down to say 25% and it creates 1000 clones of itself and then heals itself back to full.
However it didn't stop me from fondly thinking of the childlike joy I had when I finally unlocked the flying Skell and proceeded to do nothing but a Mira World Tour for 2 hours.

I had a similar experience with Last of Us.
I thought it looked nice, but the gameplay and general depressing nature just wore on me and I just didn't find any joy in picking it up or trying to soldier on.
