What makes it better?
The sense of exploration is all gone since the game has been already heavily documented. The community is full of toxic mile ails who hopped on the private server because their favorite streamer told them to play on it. People just go with the objectively best cookie cutter builds in PVE/PVP they look up online. Classes are hilariously unbalanced where you got naked rogues killing geared people and frost mages crowd controlling you forever. Endgame largely consists of grinding raids on a lockout system and then AFK on your mount in SW/Org or "world Pvping" which basically involves killing low level/undergeared people or jumping a solo player as a group.

Gladiator stance was too strong, then too weak. Blizz apparently thinks balancing classes isn't a thing. After that initial nerf, Gladiator was PERFECT, since warriors can't do shit for dps until late heroic geared or better. Gladiator was not gear dependent, and let warriors raid early on as reliable dps.

I played on nost carebear edition. People were real friendly, getting up groups was to do dungeons and elite quests super fun, and sense of exploration wasn't dead because I didn't install a million addons to navigate the world.
The actually making groups and doing shit together aspect is what made it fun unlike lfg modern wow.
Scarlet Monestary in particular was awesome. I didn't get to endgame though, I got to mid 40s and kind of just stopped after I left home for winter break.
I do understand that pvp private servers involves getting raped by naked rogues for hours on end though.

Having lots of abilities is fun. Palafins in vanilla had a gajillion seals that each had their uses (except crusader) each with a judgement (ok crusaders judgement was good). Healing in pvp needed to be nerfed to the ground anyway. It's always far too strong and it takes 3+ people to kill a geared healer. Meanwhile whomever is getting pocket healed is invincable.
Healers should never be that strong in pvp where the amount of healers determins who wins/loses.

Not to mention Nost didn't distribute it. All the text and graphics are in the client, the server just does numbers, connections, and other abstract stuff to link everyone's clients together.
