Pretty unknown but I've been listening to the Talesweaver OST and it has a few nice piano songs.
Final Fantasy?
I'm on my phone so I'm not going to open all those links (please put a title or an image), I'm guessing someone already said Gwyn's Theme from Dark Souls.
If not, here it is.

Eternal Sonata is a better example for this.

piano lends itself well to cold themes, the high pitched crispness of the sound mirrors the environment

The piano collections from FF8, FF9 and FF10 are the best piano arrangements of the best music from those games (all of which were top notch):

I'm not going to post any examples, but nearly every song from Seiken Densetsu 3 also translates perfectly to piano, with no real change in the tone of the song
The game itself uses something closer to a synthesizer sound instead
the overall sound track is comparable in quality to an old final fantasy

I dont think OP is talking about arrangements, but rather in-game music that already uses a piano sound

OP here. Both are good, as long as it's videogame music.
Lots of awesome stuff posted around here, by the way.

Casey Ormond didn't work on the previous collections did he? I don't listen to them regularly but I remember the other ones being more simple and focusing on the melodies. This one is much more "wholesome".Its really great.
How has no one posted this?
