There's definitely greater sensitivity to light with lighter eye pigmentation, essentially light can pass through your eye more easily, so there's less screened out and more entering. It's not especially definite that there's a link to blindness, per se, but with lifelong stress it's pretty plausible.

You need none of that knowledge to fly the plane. What you study is pretty irrelevant, flying is more of a trade skill. Everything that you would need to know that's covered in, say, aeronautical engineering you learn in the actual schooling process to becoming a pilot.
tl;dr you don't need to know the design process behind building the plane to understand how your aircraft is constructed and how to fly it. The two are relatively exclusive to one another, so you can study whatever the fuck you want as long as you have a degree.

ive used an HMD for at least 20 minutes, and it doesnt hurt at all. What hurts is taking it off and realizing how fucking bright it is outside the VR world. It uses OLED which is alot easier on your eyes than staring at a computer monitor for literally 12 hours a day anon.
