idk why anyone wants a doom reboot, if ID is going to do anything they ought to bring back arena shooters. show the fps kids of 2016 that RNG really has no place (or an extremely small place) in a competitive shooter.
Hell, at least it cannot be any worse than what they initially had in mind for a Doom 4, since it was gonna overly tactical military shit with a Cawadooty interface

I mean I think it is more the fact that the multiplayer is made so it will have a mainstream following, games that go back to the old school throwbacks with UT and Quake have been pretty much dead for a long time, and that goes to show with a game like Unreal Tournament getting that user-content treatment. Most people haven't heard shit about it much, and it doesn't have a mass following like people really want to believe it has. I do not mind this approach to the game, at least in terms of multiplayer. Whatever appeals to the masses in multiplayer while I get my single-player experience and we get something that appeals to both the old and new.

Has anyone found any D44M remixes of Doom music, besides the main theme?
Kitchen Ace or Phobos Anomaly would be really nice.
I've tried not hating it, despite all the glaring flaws. I kept telling myself that it might still be decent. I reminded myself that I still had a good time with Doom 3 even if it wasn't a good successor.
Then I played the beta this weekend.

Really, the multiplayer is so casualized it's a fucking joke, and still they call it """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""arena shooter"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""", if the multiplayer is any indication for how the rest of the game is it will be complete and utter shit. I'm just really glad I didn't preorder this abomination.

Doom 3 was some shit.
Granted this game has got some serious flaws but most of them are things that can be tweaked before release (movement speed, airborne momentum, etc.).
