Alight /v/, level with me on this: is Razor's Edge worth getting? I enjoyed NG I and II, but I haven't touched any of the others. I've heard nothing good about vanilla NG3 and Yaiba, but it looks like Razor's Edge did improve some things.
Is it any good, even just for the girls being playable? And if it's worth getting, should I get the PS3 or 360 version?

It's 3, 3 was trash.
It polishes up 3, but it's still 3.
I found some fun in it, the coop ninja trials were a blast.
The Steel On Bone System was stupid and only just made the game have dumb zoom ins and slows down the action.
It also suffers from some of the worst enemies to fight. Alchemist enemies, Trex boss to name a few.
At least it isn't Yaiba.
If you can get it cheap it'll probably be enjoyable. It's just a fixer up of the worst NG games in the series.

Yaiba is like Lollipop Chainsaw (with better combat system and less extras though). It doesn't look good but if you know it is a second rate cheap title it is fun and challenging.
Meanwhile NG3 is a big budget game which is nowhere near the old ones. The combat is shit, the enemies are shit and everything remotely interesting is recycled from NG1-2.

God no.
Razor's Edge was the best turd polishing job I've ever seen. And they did it in under a year.
It's still 3 but it's not painful to play. Yaiba was worse in my opinion.
Razor's Edge took a terrible game and made it into a decent one. It's not nearly as good as Black or 2 (or even the Sigmas) but it's a solid game and worth the peanuts it's available for now.

But it is. Killer is dead is short, mostly a walking simulator and barely has any combat system. Try to replay it.
Yaiba has a decent combat with the elemental damage system which actually forces you to play tactical.

You're only cool (get any respect) if you can play Nero, Vergil, and/or Dante from Devil May Cry. They have a lot of negative things to say about any and all playable characters that are females in action games. Sounds sexist, doesn't it? Their reason being the extra characters (which happen to be female) lack the same depth at the main protagonist. And so, they will harass you for not playing the "better character" until you start ignoring what you like and why you play the game.
