It's like it's opposite day or something. You got that all backwards. Demon's Souls is the worst by a wide margin. The level design is ridiculously awful in that game, every boss can be cheesed, and the much-praised "atmosphere" is only good in like two areas.

I like Bloodborne, Bayonetta, and (to a lesser extent) DMC because they're good games. I tried Undertale and went in with an open mind. I didn't hate the game, and I don't regret playing it, but it wasn't all that special in my opinion.

DeS is more interesting than DaS2 in just about every way. The thing about DeS though, is that it's a game that begun a series.
DaS2 had 2 games in front of it to build from, and it failed at doing what they did correctly (especially level wise, until the DLC). DeS was a blank slate.
The other thing about DeS is that there are a lot of levels and subtle things to the game itself, it's not as shallow as it appears at first glance. Which is kind of the opposite of DaS2, sadly.
So while I get that people might have the opinion that DaS2 is a better game, it just isn't if you put it into context.

So I just started playing DaS with the intention of finally beating it and I'm looking at a guide and stuff because I'm kinda bad but that's neither here nor there. Anyways I got the Black Knights halberd and I really wanna use that but I don't have the stats yet. Anyways all I wanna know is I upgraded my Zweihander to +3 so it's solid until I can use that, was that a bad idea or does it matter?
Bloodborne is legitimately a great game. Even if you don't like some of the things about it, it carries it's own because it has a unique setting and great level design and that makes it a great experience.

It's not that big of a deal either way though. Titanite shards can be obtained from Andre or enemies in Undead Parish.
