What were your favorite weapons and builds in DS2?
No shitposting about how bad the game is, we know it all sucks.
So far in vanilla and SOTFS the Smelter Sword is still doing me pretty well, but I'm looking for something with more end-game potential that scales better.
Used to enjoy a +100 faith +100 attunement, +5 Dragon Chime, Sunlight Spear build, wanted to try something else.
Other creative means to play?

iron keep bridge has many many people pvping just killed 6 or 7 people less than 1 minute between invasions

I just picked this up to hold me over until DS3. What should I build for a quick first PvE run? Any good equips I should go suicide for?
Santiers spear or Fire Longsword + Chaos Rapier
my favorite build in ds2 was my duel sun blade quality build in red lion warrior armor. I destroyed in pvp.
in das, it was my dex/into bulk with balder side sword.
in des it was blue blood sword luck and int build.
in bb, it was bloodtinge/skill with Chikage and Simons bowblade as backup

Although old stats, I pulled that character to ~SL180 with more faith and strength for a round quality build.
Can't really post recent pic because I deleted game just today so this all I got.

Loyce Greatsword and Moonlight Greatsword were the GOTYAY in their category. Enchanted MLGS was incredible, too.

I dont like darksouls 2. felt the game was too esoteric compared to dark souls, bloodborne and demons souls. i dont like the combat.

my list of complaints against dark souls 2 is practically limitless; however, the one thing i loves about dark souls 2 was dual weilding greatswords and powerstancing.

Halberd is by far the most fun weapon for me, playing on sl 210 feels like cheating thou , I heard that 150 is the standard but I'd still get matched with haveltards after few hours and playing with one ring slot less seems troublesome

same here. After 45million soul memory you get put into the last range, so anyone from 45m to 999m can fight each other.
It was very active in my experience, I was in fights every 10 seconds at iron keep.
