>at some point, a video game you want to play will be VR only
>he still thinks this shit will take off
>>333312059
It took off ever since the DK2. You're just too poor to notice.
Their new video is pretty good for showing what the 'point' of VR is: Putting the player inside the game and allowing them to physically interact with it instead of clicking buttons.

When that happens just buy a vr headset.
Problem solved.

>Putting the player inside the game and allowing them to physically interact with it instead of clicking buttons
Damn anon, who would have fucking guessed?
VR will never completely replace regular gaming. People still have rotary phones and cable tv.
>Games will require me to use a peripheral with no physical feedback
That's a massive exaggeration unless you're horny for a second Kinectimals
>>333312827
Without physical feedback this will be about as immersive as eye toy games were; not at all.
>tfw one working eye and vr will never be an option.
But Ace Combat 7's VR is optional. I never used the cockpit view in the old games anyway.
>>333312827
You'd be surprised how many people think VR is the exact same as playing on a monitor.
The sexbots will be here long before decent VR arrives.
You needn't fear.
>>333312059
>he hasn't been using VR since atleast 2014
>>333312928
right, but it WILL make it irrelevant
>>333314524
Calm down, HTC marketing.

We have one or two of those for every VR thread
If normies latch onto VR, video card companies might actually have an incentive to innovate.
>>333313224
Why? When you put it on your world will be just as 2 Dimensional as it is now.

>Horrible vision so I have to wear crazy strong prescription glasses
3d movies barely work for me and 3ds was pretty much normal and a headache. so I'm out of the running.
I want to just test them to see if they will work for me...
If only I hadn't spent my youth staring at the shadow on the sun...
>>333315072
And I know some in real life. It's a legit ignorance.
Is this the video games thread.
>>333315650
Both of the 3D methods you've shown aren't true image seeing different images 3D. If at least one of your eyes works you can use VR. You'll just see one image better just like you normally would.
And I'll just wait it out till its cheaper.
>>333311971
I seriously doubt it. And if such were the case, I just can't be bothered with mediocre technology. One day VR will be amazing, and I hope to see it. A fucking box on my face is not technology I care to endorse.
Any video games where I can teleport behind people?

Keep crying behind your tiny 2D screen, gramps.

Enjoy your pleb tier VR, target demographic.

>pleb tier VR
>Implying there's any alternative.
Ghost in the Shell is fiction, anon. You're never going to see any of the neural-interface crap at a working level within your lifetime and it would bring all sorts of problems with user safety.
>there will be a videogame you want to play but can't
You know, I think I might survive this.
Ok? I like the idea of VR

If this is your thing great. Go for it. I'm gonna give it another 10 or 20 years.
