I'm personally very hype. I am going to dump some shekels into Shadows Over Innistrad boosters so I can make me a Wolf/Werewolf themed deck.
I am personally sad to see this card go from the Starter Pack. My Elf deck won't be the same without it.

I remember one time, I plused my Gideon and then played Radiant Flames with Soulfire Grandmaster on the field. My opponent had 6 creatures, so I gained 24 life after wiping the board and being able to swing in with my Gideon.

Why can't wizards just slap together a quick client for Duel Masters and just release the game from like set 8? If they didn't make it intentionally shitty it would basically be an instant contender with Hearthstone and the game is still a simplified version of magic so magic fans wouldn't be very quick in giving magic up.

Yeah, I tried going full F2P for some months at first but I quit, it would be an eternal struggle to get a decent collection that way, especially with the rotations. I was still very far (in terms of dust, not cards themselves) from a full control netdeck at the time.

My issue with HS is that Blizz has full control to change a card's text as they please, but they just don't wanna do that because why bother if they could just print better cards for profit? They said it's against the team's "philosophy" to change cards, which is clearly a bullshit excuse. In fact, they only changed a few cards in the past (didn't simply nerf them, they killed them entirely) because people screamed very loud to make it happen.
The way I see it, it's a good game in the wrong hands, sadly.

It really doesn't take much, didn't spend any money on it and fully got origins and bfz, either you can grind against the hard AI with an aggro deck or just play the game normally.

2014 had pre-built decks, which you can customize but are still locked to their archetype, magic duels (the free one) has the same cards as paper magic (minus some, it also restricted in the sense that you can only have 1 mythic, 2 rares, 3 uncommons of the same card as opposed to 4x copies that you could have in a paper deck) it also started with origin, currently has also battle for zendikar and tomorrow it's getting the cards from oath of the gatewatch and shadows over innistrad, not sure which is the third game you are mentioning, paper perhaps?

That's a planeswalker, he can't attack, unless he has a specific effect that says so (like Gideon ally of zendikar), basically the number is his life (called loyalty and when it reaches 0 he "dies" or fucks off if you prefer) +1/+0/-X is quite self explanatory, it adds or detracts from his loyalty and uses the ability it describes, usually planeswalkers are very powerful cards that can win the game and are more or less hard to remove in a format like it's magic duels since it lacks stuff that directly kills them like pic related.
