When it lets you play as someone other than Ryobi. Also, play on Normal. Enemies kind of just stand around and scoot away from you on the default difficulty. The difficulties are more of a stat check than anything, but enemies do get more aggressive and gain some new moves on higher settings.

Yes. They are both kinda weird to be honest, might need to get new moves to feel better.
Naraku is fun, but her Hold Attacks have such weird things to them sometimes. And her Breach Art kinda sucks or is weird.
Kaguras Hold Attacks also are really weird, I guess it is a Teleport, but none of her moves blast the enemies far enough for a need to teleport to them.
Other than that they are pretty fun.

Same. Burst is by far my favorite, and Bon Appétit was fairly enjoyable. But Shinovi Versus and Estival Versus are just boring. Even Dynasty Warriors games are less mindless and repetitive.

I liked SV for what it was. But EV is frustrating to me because doesn't even try to fix any of the major problems of SV, and it plays worse in general thanks to the recovery added to every single move. Not to mention a lot of animations, maps, and heart stories are just copy pasted over from SV and mildly tweaked.
