It's that time of year again.
Love me some Skyrim.
ay yo skyrim S U C K S
Ok, /v/ redpill me on mods please. Never tried any of them. What should I install?
>pirate skyrim for sex mods
>turns out trying to implement said mods is the most labor intensive shit
Maybe I'm just dumb

If steam didnt change since the last time i played then you just have to add the mod to favorite
Been thinking about reinstalling lately. But, the process of getting all the mods again makes me stop. Are steam mods better now or is nexus still necessary?
Post lewd mods
So I'm midway through Falkasar and my game pyprus seems to have finally fucked itself. My choices now are spend some time cleaning my game and saves, start a new playthrough or try out Morrowind. Some guy traded it with me a few years ago and never got around to playing it.
How is it? Is it worth potentially devoting another 200+ hours on? Also how's the modding scene on it? I can't decide if it's worth a shot.
>Year of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ 2016
>still not using nexus mod manager
I'm always drawn to playing this with some roleplaying but it's so hard to have fun in it. I always just go back to Morrowind.

Ordinator for less shitty perks, dyndolod for not-shit distant detail, natural lighting and atmospherics for pretty lighting, and one million thousand texture packs
comfy as fuck game

I'm not gonna give you a list of mods to install because finding ones to suit your playstyle is the way to do it.
As for installing mods, you'll need a few programs first. Download the Nexus Mod Manager, LOOT, and Skyrim Script Editor. I can't remember the how to install them but I don't think it's hard.
The NMM allows you to download mods from the Nexus, a mod hosting site. You can activate and deactivate them from the manager easily without having to manually move any files. On top of that, you can use it to manually change your load order (the order in which the game loads stuff at the start) but I wouldn't worry about that for now.
That's because LOOT will do it for you. You use it once you've installed the mods to work out the best load order to reduce crashes and make sure everything works as intended. It will also give you reports on the mods you install which is useful if you need to clean your saves later down the line.
Finally, SKSE is a tool that a lot of mods need to add scripts to the game. It basically just replaces the games default .exe so you'll open the game from SKSE once it's installed.
Hope that helps.

A mod to enlarge all trees.

what mod is that
>hording dragon bones and scales all game
>dragon isnt even the best armor
If your load order is shorter than 50, you have no business launching Skyrim at all.
>>333278284
This.
50 mods is way easier to hit than you'd think.
The trailer makes the game look better than it actually is. I get the urge to play Skyrim every time I see it, but when I actually do play it, it's dull as fuck. I've put over 400 hours into it after all, and there's nothing new for me to find there.

>keeping these just incase

The only part of the game that I truly like and that Bethesda did right. Don't even have to mod that area at all.
How many hours have you clocked in Skyrim, v? I'm at 800, and it's not even my favorite TES

You're all gonna think I'm a gigantic faglord but the only reason I don't play Skyrim anymore is that I don't want my time played to be increased and to show on the steam profile.
only bought this game for the porn mods kys
>>333278682
Over 1200 hours. It's been at least a year since I last played it though. Don't feel like going back anytime soon. Best walkabout simulator out there.
i found archery very satisfying for some reason

What are some mods that make enemies all over the world have a static level, but make no other drastic changes like Requiem?
no big deal
>/v/ suddenly likes skyrim now
What happened?
does anyone remember the HaweewaH oblivion threads
what ever happened to that guy
>>333272374
Modding is more restrictive and challenging on pirated Skyrim
apparently there are other companions in this game and another town you can buy a house in
fuck that
>>333279548
Then again, you only really need the base game which is $5 on every sale ever.
You can then pirate DLC and the game won't know the difference, you'll even get DLC achievements.
>>333279209
It's actually a bit worse than that. It's not that I don't want other people to see my time played it's that I want the games I really like to be on top. I feel I may be autistic.
