I think one of the reasons people still like GOldeneye so much even today, despite all its technical faults, is because of the simplicity. You can walk, aim, shoot, reload, activate shit and sprint by strafing. It's fun as fuck to shoot people and do the little objectives and it's pretty difficult too on secret or 00-Agent.
Plus it has a kick ass soundtrack which makes any game loads better imo.

I too enjoyed Nightfire a lot, but it still has that "we're just making a game because it's out job" feel that so many EA games have. It's missing the great OST, subtle humor and good pacing that Goldeneye had. It's technically superior in every way though, obviously. Except sound design.

The multiplayer was 10/10. Some of my best times playing vidya were getting fucked up with the lads and playing Nightfire until the early hours in the morning. The multiplayer in Goldeneye is just dated beyond belief now, it feels way too clunky and slow. Nightfire still holds up amazingly well though because the foundation for the gameplay was already set, it just became more streamlined.

BT's only issue that comes up when i replay is being forced (though Clockwork eggs break 50% of the game) to change to Mumbo, do magic, then swap back, and some of the Womba transforms are just the same, ie hit the switch/context thing then transform back and get jiggy.
