I bought it off a guy on Instagram not too long ago for $40, it's one of my favorite N64 games though it could be nostalgia for me.
That said there are a few very frustrating parts in it.

Dude, you should have tried an emulator or Live and Reloaded before dropping $80 on the original cartridge. It's a great game and all but unless you specifically collect N64 games you really should have tried it first.

all ps1/n64 games age pretty hard, n64 a little worse due to cartridge limitations.
when you consider that, it's kinda amazing, how its not only fully spoken dialogue, but Conker is really well animated and expressive, it's WAY ahead of it's time in presentation. The pacing isn't perfect, but its fun, and for the lols.
The gameplay I think is awesome, tons of variety, this game is never boring, also decently challenging!

This is one of my all time favorite games, but I'll try to keep it objective. The gameplay for the story isn't all that great, kind of like a worse Banjo-Kazooie. Of course, there is a lot of variety in the tasks you have to accomplish, so I'd say that's a good thing.
Best thing the game has going for it is the writing. The games quite funny at times, and the ending really hits hard. The whole story plays out more like a long movie chronicling on hell of a bad day.
There's a multiplayer mode that, in its time, was one of the funnest console multiplayer experiences. However, time hasn't been good to it. Unless you're quite tolerant of older games (especially N64), and you have some friends who are the same way, you won't get too much mileage out of it.
