I use it too, its alright.
I havent had any compatibility problems other than the initial XAMPP issue with localhost not translating properly and waiting a full second before attempting to go to 127.0.0.1

I've used Windows since the first raw '98, and I think this is their best start yet.

Guess I also got a free license. Slightly better boot times. Skype seemingly doesnt fuck up as often.

You don't gain much, but unlike with previous installments of Windows, you don't lose.
Used to be the rule that upgrading Windows before the second service pack was suicide. This is a reasonable start. They will be hopefully building up on it with the Xbox integration and future DirectX exclusives. Hoped the new Microsoft AI will make its appearance in some form, but not with the whole twitter fiasco.

If you used any closed source OS then its already a confirmed NSA backdoor.
How do you trust anything that people can't read the actual source?
Do you think all Mac OS or old Windows were safe from spy?

Win10 was really weird on my PC. Sometimes when I was using up a lot of memory I would randomly get disconnected from the internet. I don't know why, but the updates were very heavy as well.

Never had those problems with Win7, except for the updates when I'd just installed the os, so I went back to it. No regrets ever since.

It's already surpassed windows. Every server and tablet in the world runs Linux.

Just because you 1% basement-dwelling geeks are still clinging to Windows on your desktops doesn't mean the world revolves around (You).

Actually he's right. But it's a good thing.
I want linux to win because it's innately better. I'm not going to switch until there's more compatibility on linux.

Man you are delusional as shit.

I can't speak for tablets because I hate the fucking things but most companies in our country use windows server.

What are those servers connecting?
Are they connecting 100+ Linux operating systems?
No. Because IT can spend time fucking around manually coding kernal to work properly, but the average user (the majority user) doesn't give a fuck. I don't want to scour the internet, looking through forums, downloading obscure work-arounds for every single application I want to run. It's too tedious, and produces almost no significant performance gains. And when you're running newer, higher-end components, Linux will usually be incompatible, essentially voiding all the minuscule gains otherwise.

I find linux to be easier to operate than windows at this point, to be honest.
And I'm a regular windows user. There's a rare case where you'll get into a good old fashioned dependency hell though. I've encountered that once for something pretty obscure so it's not really that surprising.

With at least 10 consumer electronics generals up at all times? I think not.

Dependency hells mostly happen when you compile your own stuff these days, though.

And most of the time that's easily fixable by going to your package manager and installing the -dev versions of libraries.

So, you're essentially saying it's not easier to operate than windows because windows does some stuff automated? You just contradicted your own argument.

Besides there's a reason all the normies use windows in stead of linux.

Nah, I don't give a fuck what they say. There's no way that 33% of "steam users are on w10" is true.

Installing on linux
>Open nice, aethetically pleasing graphical tool for installing applications
>Search for application name
>Click install
>Everything happens automatically
>Can install hundreds of packages at once
>All packages are from trusted software sources
>Also updates all your software automatically at once, at the user's request
>Also have the option of opening the terminal (or the 'kernal' as you call it) and typing sudo apt-get install software or yum install software or whatever

Installing on windows
>Search for program
>Find it on developer's website
>Find download page

>Uncheck crapware
>Click through installer
>Remember to disable 'restart windows' checkbox
