Man, I really want to be hype for Zero, and that footage looksfunbut the forced gamepad first-person aiming shit turns me off so hard. Half the game in Star Fox is dodging shit and I feel like it's going to be so awkward and annoying keeping track of both screens during areas with a lot of action.

Companies give journalists/youtubers/whoever early copies of the game, so long as they only show certain parts or only stream for so long etc. Roughly a week before the game comes out (depends on the game, if its not until the day it comes out it's a pretty bad sign) the embargo is lifted, you can show whatever you want, and sites can put up their review of the game. You can break embargo if you want, but it means the company won't be sending you any more early copies of their games and most people don't want that.There's always a person or two who ends up taking one for the team and leaking

Sure, huge spike in popularity now, but the trade off is you won't be getting an early copy of Zelda U to stream the first 30 minutes of Link growing up in Assfuck Village for people to see 20 times while they wait for the game to come out
