Ambiance, a cheesy self aware plot, horrible one liners that we remember to this day, innovative game play, the balls to drop the zombies despite been practically the protagonists of every game before, fun characters that don't take most things seriously, verity with its very basic game play, while not scary still puts emphasis on tension and nerve wrecking situations.

I honestly just liked it for being the first third person shooter that was good. The story, characters and voice acting were the normal cheesy mess. But going around and killing enemies with the Red9 is still the best fun I've had with a third person shooter.
Let's hope the sequel to Red Dead Redemption can improve the gun mechanics to be on the same level as Resident Evil 4.

What I always did was empty a lot of ammo and healing items out of my inventory and take the RPG you find in the castle. Then when hes frozen and walking slow I would wait for him to walk out into the wallway; from there it took a direct hit from the RPG to instakill him. The fully assmebled Kings' Crown thanks to the family jewel he drops was worth way more than the market value of the RPG.
