Hey /v/! I'm about to buy a ps4 game from Amazon. I was going to purchase Bloodborne but I saw that the Resident Evil Origins Collection is the same price. (34.99) As someone who never played RE what is the best game to buy? I know BB is ps4's best exclusive and that RE is a remake, but I hear great things about the old RE games. I'm leaning towards Bloodborne right now, but I still want some opinions. Thanks!

I love both games, if you're looking to play something new I'd recommend Bloodborne but you should definitely get the Origins pack as well, even though Zero kinda sucks.

BB is a year old by now. It's not a fad game. It's honestly one of the best souls games. Do whatever you want, but out of the two I enjoying BB more. RE is a fun game to play but I wasn't overjoyed and hyped when playing it, its was more of a simple fun ride.

Witch and the Hundred knight also has the same type of dialog if you're into that. Except the gameplay is more Diablo-like.

funny you say that while posting Joost. Because PS4's MGS5 version was the best. Tuns at 1080p60p (which last I heard is the minimum acceptable standard even for elitists), didn't have hackers invading your base unlike PC, and didn't get MGO delayed by 6(?) months.

Don't get it if you want it only for the finnest combat or finnest story out there. It's more about seeing the fun character interactions, and the gameplay is fun but not UP there. Like I said it's diablo-esque but instead of complex combat you instead build an arsenal of weapons with their own pros and cons and chain effects and then auto-attack for 80% of the combat. The fun comes from building your "passive" combos and managing the time-restriction on each level (you gotta kill enemies to get a resource which you can spend to get more time to finish each level)
I think It's worth the price as it's not a full priced game.

BB is hard if you aren't used to Souls games.
WitchTheBitch isn't hard unless you use really inefficient weapons. You also get dialog scenes between most combat levels so it's fun to play for an hour at a time.

Bloodborne is obviously a good game too and worthy of being played. You're just trying to impose your weird tastes and opinions on someone else to prevent them from enjoying the game. If anything it's you who can't appreciate the otehr game.
