there's all sorts of stuff that could kill you when you're on your own. slip and fall, cut yourself really badly, imporperly cook something and give yourself horrendous food poisoning, all sorts of stuff.
you could have a heart attack, or a stroke... hell, some people just die in their sleep for no apparent reason. being alone is no guarantee of safety
