The game is pretty ambiguous about what constitutes a true Great One. I'd argue the only things that come close that can be killed in-game are either infants, servants, or failed human recreations. Never the real deal.

Also something that really scares me in fiction is if something incomprehensible just "arrives", people immediately fall to their knees and start worshipping it and singing its praise. It unsettles me so much.
