Hayes left after vanilla and Uelmen left after TBC.

I'd say the shit generic music started from Cataclysm onwards. WotLK still had some sweet ass music. Take the Howling Fjord or Grizzly Hills for example. It definitely gave the world a beautiful fantasy like atmosphere.
