Gentlemen, a moment of silence for the greatest console of our lifetime, the Playstation 2.
Last week, on March 31st, 2016, Final Fantasy XI servers went offline for good ending the last remaining active PS2 title.
In a very real way, last week we saw the PS2 officially die.
The console which released March 4th 2001 sold 155 million units world wide which makes it the top selling console of all time. Sony officially stopped production of the console in 2013 and yesterday ended 16 years of console support.
We all remember the iconic start up and have great memories of some of the greatest games to ever be released. What are some of your favorite PS2 titles?
Some of mine include GTA SA, Madden and ESPN 2k5, God of War, MGS, Resident Evil 4, and Gran Turismo.

PS2 was a console ahead of it's time. Killed off the Dreamcast, made the Xbox look wimpy and even ripped Nintendo of it's crown.

Myth. I still have my original fat xbox 360 from 2006 and my ps4 from 2013 (that ones a lot less remarkable) but I dont know what kind of hamfisted retard you have to be to destroy a console. They're not easy to break.
Dark Chronicle, Co-op Ratchet Gladiator, Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance 2, Final Fantasy XII, Soul Calibur 2 and 3, GTA SA, the list goes on and on. I love my PS2.
It was a great day when I got my boot discs and started pirating everything on this piece of shit.

im buying a new one (well not brand new lets not be crazy) when my wages come in so i can play final fantasy xii without emulating. ffxii was my longest running game with 108 hours at the end of yiazmat and i love ivalice to bits.
