Nobody likes the game once aliens show up, but you can easily get like ten hours or more out of fucking with Koreans, which 2 never really lets you do. 2 is much more linear similar to Halo 2. 3 tried to bring the murderfun back, and only partly succeeded.

Crysis, like any other game, has downgrade, and a serious one, even on PC.
the 2006 version of crysis are those bullshots you see now and then, then there are pics of the actual game and later, they released a dx10 patch among other fixes to use the "ultra" option wich was blocked or disabled.
they are patches created by the actual devs, so its not actual modding, its a patched version of the game if you are that into it.
