but seriously, fuck the update system. Can't stop it without enterprise or having a wifi connection (metered connection doesn't work with ethernet for some stupid reason).
I'd really have no problem with Win10 otherwise since you can always block the telemetry/privacy shit if you cared enough to do so.
no reason to switch until there's lots of good dx12 games and even then having a gpu that fully supports every feature level, and by then windows 12 will be out.
my pc boots in 47 seconds compared to the full 3 minutes it took with 7, so im satisfied
It's ok at best, upgraded my dedicated porn laptop to it and I'm somewhat satisfied. Still keeping win 7 on my pc as long as I can.

As long as you actually pay attention to what updates you're applying to win7, there's no problem.
It's pretty well documented what updates are for win10 bullshit and need to be shunned, although they try to push them at you again no matter how times you hide them. And if you're still not sure about a new one, just wait a couple days and google it. If it's unsafe, the whole internet will have gotten together to tell you so.
You shouldn't have to be so god damn circumspect about it, but as long as MS is being shitters, it's the way it is.

Was going great and all until my install suddenly decided it had enough of working.
