I can honestly say that the 2.0 patch was not a good thing overall for the game.

You know what, if I had met the character ingame and it had been a woman who, after actually getting to know her and gain her trust, revealed that she used to be a man but changed her gender with one of the several methods available - or even more interestingly, accidentally put on a cursed belt and decided he felt better at home in a woman's body, that would have been awesome. It would have been FUN, believable and completely acceptable because it wouldn't be at odds with anything in the lore. And you would be able to see where he had come from, even if you didn't agree.
But we couldn't have that, could we? Because a girdle that magically changes your gender must be incredibly triggering to trannies who usually can never pass for women. So instead we get a guy who just begins yelling about his personal life and his special snowflake name he made out of letters from languages he felt were really chic totally unprovoked, because it's so fucking important that you know this one defining characteristic he has.
Absolute shit-tier writing and makes no sense in the context of the world. And worse, your character is forced to either applaud it or ignore it.
You are given NO options to have your character handle it like you think they would. You're just told by the devs that here is a character we put in, now you have to like it.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if they patch it tomorrow to make the NPC unkillable. Why does it have to be like this.
