Are these games worth checking out? They look really good atmosphere wise but I'm a little turned off by their linearity.
I enjoyed 2033 more than last light, I would recommend playing them despite them being linear.

Sandbox is almost always mile wide inch deep. Just play it and if it has no replay value who the fuck cares, you already got at least a day of fun.
If you mean exploration, if you pay attention there are a ton of access tunnels and rooms where you take a high risk-reward for more enemies/more loot.

they are linear yeah, but what pissed me off more is if your out of supplies, like a gas mask or something, then you cant progress any further
Originals were decent cinematic shooters don't know if redux is worth it
Haven't played last light. I beat 2033 in about 8 hours, has decent replay value I think, moreso than other recent linear shooters. Not sure how much it goes for these days, might wanna pick it up on sale.

>turned off by their linearity.
thats your problem then. the games story are great.
They're linear but fun. Atmosphere is great. It's worth wasting a few days on.

if you havent played them before. redux is the way to go.

In my opinion these games are the best recent examples of how linearity doesn't equal a bad game in the slightest

Then don't buy it bitch. Only a tard asks if he should buy something he doesn't like.

This. The remasters look way better. Wish I waited for them.
Yes. I enjoyed them both. Last Light was an all around improvement to 2033
Get the Redux versions though
