Boss level is scaled to yours, you can fight pretty much anyone, anytime, if you can get there. If you explore some more you might get some items that will help you but Ashuri is pretty much doable with regular equipment.

Unless you're using the hidden techs to sequence break it's really hard to accidentally end up going where you're not intended to yet, especially when bosses scale.

You probably just need to explore your combat abilities more thoroughly and figure out how to maximize your damage output, the biggest thing being that the boss' melee invuln only applies to your basic ground combo, almost all of your other attacks will go through it.

I had lag in some areas and I found it pretty weird. Bullet hells are fine but they're much easier when you have free movement over the screen when you fly, gravity can be harsh in this game.

Music is really great, I wasn't expecting such a good musical score.

How does boss invuln work anyway? Is it when they're attacking?

Also how important is keeping up my combo? It seems really hard to do when touching a boss will damage you and it's really easy to accidentally do so when melee attacking.

I'm an absolute moron with 0 bullet hell experience and I forget what key is what about 1/4th of the time. I'm already on the 4th or 5th boss on normal difficulty because I'm a casual. I think you'll do fine.

There's 4 difficulties at the start: Casual, Easy, Normal, and Hard with two unlockable ones.
I'd say it's very possible, even for new bullet hell players. Just don't play Normal if you've never played a bullet hell before.

Bosses become temporarily invuln to your basic melee combo after you hit them with any hammer attack, but almost all of your other attacks (Uppercut, aerial down drill, bunny strike etc etc) will ignore that invuln in addition to anything Ribbon does.

It helps a lot to keep the combo going but it's not a huge deal breaker, the main thing about it is to just keep up your sustain damage output with Ribbon's charge shots and it'll generally net you a B or higher rank on most bosses.

There are like six different difficulty options, it ranges from mindless to questioning your life decisions that brought you to inflicting torment upon yourself.

Starting the game on hard is pretty fair if you're pretty competent and willing to take a 3-8 tries on some bosses. Going above that starts gettin real painful.

Thanks for all the help. One more question: which magic is generally the best? I have the green and yellow ones so far, yellow seems pretty helpful in bring up combos but has shit damage, while green seems completely useless other than its special attack that heals me.

Blue is almost always the highest damage but has the most strict hitbox. Yellow is extremely easy to use and builds up the combo meter quickly. Green has homing shots. Red has the highest rapid shot damage but that doesn't mean shit. Purple has a gigantic hitbox on its rapid shots but again that doesn't mean much. Orange becomes the highest damage when you're below half health. The rainbow shit I haven't tried out much, it's new.

The general idea is: Use blue when possible, use yellow when you can't hit with blue and then use green when you can't hit with yellow. Replace blue with orange when below half.

Blue is good for straight up damage, green is when you want to play on the defensive and heal up a bit, dragging out the battle longer so you can learn patterns during certain points, and yellow is for keeping up your combos and meter so you can continue to do higher amounts of damage.

The easter update put in a new rainbow magic type once you collect 5 easter eggs and it scales with your mana and egg count.

From what I tried in the artbook DLC bonus fights it does a disgusting amount of damage and heals you but apparently costs EN (In-game money) to shoot it so it's not really something to rely on for most of the game.

A little disappointed in this game, to be honest.

The boss battles are pretty fun, but this game has way too much talking. Going from scene to scene frequently with barely a single room between it, and sometimes they just drag on, it's really annoying.

The level design also seems very bland. I'm sure there are pathways I am overlooking, but it's almost always extremely simple to get around, and you're all the time walking through very plain rooms with no decoration and just the same one or two enemies you easily dispatch with the same combo.

The girls are cute and all, though. And it isn't bad.

Charge shot is pretty important too.
Yellow is fine overall because it goes through enemies and the charge shot is great because it's a spread. Green can go through walls and heal. Blue is hard to hit but deals good damage. Purple slows down enemies that stay on the blast radius. Red deals continuous damage where it hits in a small blast radius. Orange is a surprise, but use it when half your health is down.

If Irisu feels like an unbreakable wall to you right now then sure go for it, it's pretty goddamn strong.

If you're on any difficulty below bunny extinction it sure isn't necessary though. A much easier way to make the fight easier is to go buy all the buffs off of Miru in town then speedrun the library to Irisu.

If you're fast enough you can get a good 3 minutes left on your buffs for the fight.

I've only had trouble with 2 bosses.

1st Seana fight, Pandora (and shadow clone Pandora).Seana first fight took me a week. I got it down to a science. I fought her before I had any mobility items, and it was impossibly hard.

Seriously, fuck those attacks that you have to linger in the air for. I wish I had gotten double jump/air dash/wall jump before fighting her. Or hell, gotten the blue orb. When her second fight came around, I bullied her like no rabbit has bullied before.

Absolutely. I've spent 48 hours on it and I'm not even the kind of person that does all the achievements / sequence break / speedrun shit, I just play the game.

If you're an achievement hunter it could easily last you 100+ hours.

Final phase as in the endurance mode? That part's actually pretty easy, it's all about understanding where Erina's hitbox is.

It's just a tiny little square right in the middle of her chest on the skin right above her clothes. You can stand ontop of bullets as long as they're below your waist and they can go through your forehead.

Also make good use of the slide, any standard small-circle-bullet that will hit you can be avoided via sliding.

At the time, I basically only had the speed boost and bunny slippers. Seana was a total cunt to beat.

Pandora too. I have no idea why, but Pandora and Seana are legitimately harder than every other boss I've fought, except for maybe Keke Bunny and her Trix Yogurt Cats.

My ranks are nothing fancy, specially because my controller tends to lock the stick on a direction and keep it going for a while.
Also, fuck getting hit right at the end of the battle, getting that rank back up is a bitch. I had Keke Bunny on MAX most of the fight only to fuck it all up at the end.

Looking again at my ranking I don't know why I got E on Cicini and Chocolate, they're so easy...

I remember fucking up on Keke Bunny at the end and having trouble with the controller on Nieve but I don't remember fucking up badly on those other two. I remember getting to Ashuri on Golden Riverbank a tad too early due to wall jumps and stuff, got a bit overwhelmed back then.

Fuck Pandora though, that was a legit E.

Early game bosses are pretty much always going to have lower ranks than bosses you fight later on since having a more diverse toolkit and more consistent damage output ups the meter dramatically more than the increased hits you take bring it back down.

Once you get fully kitted out the big boy ranks come flooding in, it's way harder to consistently max out early fights.

I got used to fighting in a certain pattern after getting Yellow magic. I barely use air dash, slide, bunny strike or the bunny charm because of it. It's funny how you can dodge many attacks simply by doing the jumping roll attack and bouncing directly on top of them, specially when they are floating.

Irisu got me working because I actually need invencibility this time around.
