To be really honest trying to master a game isn't fun at all. Constant failure along the way just to master it and a ton of repetition just does not sound right for me.

I disagree. To me the end result/reward is always much more satisfying when there's genuine challenge involved. This is precisely why I don't enjoy Bethesda games or the like. Gothic games though really define the feeling of hard-earned reward for me, which is why I love them.

How many times do you plan on making this thread?

trial and error is fun if you enjoy the gameplay and want to see it through.
Europa Universalis
>game has a ridiculously hard challenge character
>dont even bother taking a chance and give up
>>333095943I've never actually managed to beat Manus in Dark souls due to this reason, I always just skip him and go for Gwyn instead.
Why does it feel like I seen this thread multiple times before?
I felt this way about JRPGs, but I recently played through all the SNES Final Fantasy games, Chrono Trigger, and SMT Digital Devil Saga
They're fucking piss easy, if anything they're difficult because you overthink things and make them harder than they really are
