We have an amusement here in the Phoenix metro area with a 2-story arcade, Castles n Coasters.
The first floor is where they put all the newest, high-tech shit and the second floor is (was) a literal treasure trove of old arcade games. I miss being able to play any (ANY) Marvel vs. Street Fighter game on the cab.
Nowadays they've stopped maintaining the older games and every time I go there are a few more out of commission. I've been considering contacting them to maybe buy something if the price is right.

I've been there myself. Crane games and girly shit is usually in the first 2 floors. Drum or rhythm games are in the middle mixed in with slot games. Last floors are usually fighting games and beat'em ups.
Some floors have a cleaner on standby waiting at the entrance of each floor.
They're just like any other arcade, but the biggest difference is cabinets with chairs like pic related.
There's also the pachinko machines, plushie grab games, and dance games.

depending to which one you go, the music section has a few dedicated people going ham.
There are a bunch of new arcade machines for stuff you didn't know they make.
Quite a few arcade machines that have a joystiq and or mouse. and a few games that you know are playstation/wii/xbox games but they have a nondescript gamepad instead of joystick with 6/8 buttons (think Pro Evolution Soccer or Final Fantasy Dissida)
Later in the day/evening all the fighting game people come in droves and it becomes a fighting game heaven.
Their "quarter on the screen to play next" system is funny. When you lose, you stand up and the next person comes up. If you don't stand, they will become all beta and let you play again. If you stand and nobody comes, then you sit down again and play. If you wanted to be an obnoxious american (or alpha) you can just sit down and they will look at you funny but not do anything

They're stuffy, dark, have a slightly off smell and full of all sorts of arcade games. Bottom floor has a lot of claw games with anime shit like figmas and stuffed dolls. I went to about 3 of them during my vacation there, but it left me nostalgic for the arcades that I went to as a kid in the US.
