Been playing Planet Coaster.
Anyone know if park saves carry over to the new updates, for example an update that adds the terrain editor and such?
Is RCTW worth getting? It looked great from the early footage I saw, but everything I've seen from release looks garbage.

Trying to play some ORCT2. Any good custom scenarios or sandbox ones?
What makes a good coaster design? I have never been great at it in these games but love building streets & buildings.
Tried making some in Planet Coaster but due to boosters not working, I appear to make coasters that never pick up enough speed to make it past upward slopes or loops. I make sure to bank my turns.

helixs are a good way on adding length aswell as making it look cozy. Also the smooth button is your friend and you are to mash that shit.

What does that do? Pressed it a few times but never noticed it do much to the design of the track piece.

Moves it slightly so that it flows better as a whole, its quite noticable when you ride the coaster.
So I'm in a video games program in Montreal and one of my teachers has like 4 students that worked on Rollercoaster Tycoon world (As modellers, nothing involved with the design).
So apparently the day after release where they popped the champagne the mood is solemn because of how mediocre the ratings were.
Basically as I understand it all the good creative minds behind old roller coaster tycoon aren't in the company and are instead working on Planet Coaster.
