This game is fucking embarrassing, regardless of what reviewers or Metacritic has to say about its pros and/or cons. It's so corny and shit and takes itself so seriously when it's just a shallow time bending mess. My Xbox One is fucking garbage and if it weren't for Bloodborne and a select few others I'd feel the same way about my Shitstation 4 as well. It's locked to the Windows Store on W10.
The store is basically GFWL 2.0, it has bullshit like, Forced Windowed Fullscreen, Vertical Sync Enabled and some other restrictive bullshit ruining the experience, like the inability to access or change the game files, use the ini. to properly configure the game, etc.
It turns the game into a proprietary phone app, essentially, where you can only experience the game how the developer intends, similar to a console... on your PC.
Also not the mention, this single player game requires an internet connection because the "Live action" cutscenes have to be streamed, they're not in the game files on PC.

I wouldn't go saying masterpiece. But it wasn't bad either. It was great for what it was - a short, fun game to play when you're taking a break from something "heavier" and longer.
IIRC IGN and other sites hated the fact that devs went all retard trying to call steps they taken to improve performance as being "cinematic" (the black bars on top/bottom, 30fps, ...), the game had literally no replayability (kind of agree here), no multiplayer (wtf is with this shitty requirement that all of the games have to have multiplayer mode - you don't see them bitching about multi only games not having single campaign... but every time a singleplayer game is released without multiplayer mode, it gets few points off score for not having it...), broken story (there were some plot holes, and some things didn't make sense but I wouldn't say it was broken - unfinished maybe, the ending was obvious sequel hook, which won't happen after the reception the game got) and the fact that it was extremely short (again, I'd much rather play 8-hour game that has fun gameplay than yet-another-80+hours-rpg that gets boring after 5 hours and finishing it feels like a chore).
Overall I don't think The Order 1886 was a bad game, sure it had some flaws (a lot of them actually) but I had fun playing it, so yeah, for me the "critics" opinions were wrong.

It's been getting exponentially worse since big bang. In 2012 I made an account as a ludi and reach like level 119 in under a week. It's a fucking joke. I remember to play all summer and just barely reach level 40 (although I was obviously not grinding the whole time).
The whole focus is powerleveling and min-maxing and I think there's PvP but I'm not sure. The community is shit though.
