It is. There's ways of mitigating the RNG and the game would be vastly different without the luck factor, but you WILL have your Ancient Lich with 5 70% accurate attacks miss every time.
the game is pretty good, although way too heavy on the rng.

Select "Strong AI" and force it to play Rebels and watch as it picks literally nothing but Woses. Knalgans have an especially hard time with them because they lack Fire and Arcane attacks. Thieves do well against them with the right terrain, but only HODOR losers pick the humans when playing Knalgans.

I made some pretty bad mistakes, especially in the beginning. I played the gryphons too recklessly, and I could have saved the OG Marketer instead of letting it get killed by the OP tree of crushing, for instance. I blame not having slept in 24 hours.
