When the fuck does the Fire Longsword become inferior to the regular version?
I have nearly 20 STR/DEX while Faith and Int are both at 5 and the fire infusion is still better.

i think the normal longsword only gets better when you infuse it with raw or get it to higher levels when the scaling improves a bit, and if it is raw you can put levels into hp, stamina, and stuff

Scaling is kind of shit in DaS2, as a result some weapons are better infused even without focusing on their infused stat. On top of that, STR scaling is better than DEX, so if you've been pumping STR, even with C scaling most weapons are still pretty good.
Before it got nerfed, lightning/faith was fucking broken as shit, with everyone, regardless of build, rolling lightning weapons. Shit was horrifying if you Summoned a few faith fucks to toss the salads of any boss.

yeah, the levels in str/dex you already invested would be a waste then, so if you want to use the norm longsword then you'll have to reinforce it to really increase its damage. unfortunately C scaling is usually not that good, if you are looking for a weapon with scaling str B rank and up is preferrable.

I don't know because I've never done the DLC, but probably not. I know one of the areas (from what I've heard) makes using lightning some kind of abstract hell.
