It's a character you're controlling on your screen.
You don't become female if you pick a female character.

Dungeon Fighter Online does that, moveset at least. Story is largely the same for every class but has some differencies.
I don't play girls in games, because I'm not gay, and I like playing characters that are actually competent ,strong, and independent. Women are none of those things.
