even a quarter charged static rifle shot followed by a SS shot is a kill, and its so quick too

It feels like a faster Halo with a double jump in terms of movement.
There's a haste powerup that speeds you up to something resembling the original Doom's speed.

the little bit i did play with giant fps dips whenever particles happened was pretty enjoyable, blurriness and ridiculously low fov aside so i'd be pretty happy if i could get to play it smoothly on this pc

I know it's just a beta, but a lot of people including me, haven't been able to join more than a couple of matches. It's so weird since the alpha didn't have any issues about joining or creating lobbies. I'm cancelling my preorder, really. If they can't fix this barebones feature, I don't really expect a decent game.

Gauss really needs its beam nerfed on PC. Just getting caught in the breeze of it instantly kills anyone and makes it ridiculously easy to quickly chain together five kills on KB+M. It'd still be easy to use if you had to have your crosshair inside of another player to land a hit, but that'd at least take it out of 5 free kills territory.

Demon pickup is accompanied by a global indicator and warning and turns into a tug of war between teams until it times out, Gauss is just straight up 5 free kills if you're there when it spawns.
Demon Rune really ought to either be removed or significantly shortened for any FFA modes.
