For real though, the voice acting in DoW 1 was much better than in the sequels. Sure, there was a greater quantity of contextual voice clips in DoW 2, but the delivery was quite restrained. Especially Chaos suffered from this.

Just keep at it, you can get better if you keep trying. Oddly enough I find that once you can field a cruiser and one/two light cruisers it gets much easier because you can do enough damage to kill enemy ships.

I made the mistake of trying to turtle and slowly build up my forces. You really just have rush them as soon as you can. Having the advance base bonus helped a lot. I think that map alone has rekindled my dislike for the Eldar, their stronghold mission was very satisfying.
Speaking of stronghold missions, I've always wondered: what are your favourites, /v/? Or any ones you dislike?
I've always really enjoyed Asharis, the Tau capital city in DC. The Necron Tombs are fun too.
